Dear Melissa,
|
|
This year
has flown by. I can barely believe that fall is upon us and that
the holidays are just around the corner. If the real estate
trends & cycles hold true we are just coming into the last busy
season, which tends to last from mid October to the end of
November. Make the most of it and prepare for housekeeping at the
end of the year.
Be sure to follow us on...

What other agents are saying about us...
|
"Just
had to tell you.....
I put 1776 Tennyson Row into MLS late yesterday afternoon, having
uploaded the photos you provided (plus a few of Bill's) rather than
waiting for our CORE admin to do so this morning, so all was ready when
the listing went Active.
I had a call from a buyer's agent less than one hour later and
had a written offer to purchase, at 97% of list price, less than 24 hrs
after I went "live"! I received that written offer before
Jenna in our office had processed the paperwork I had given her re the
listing, before it went out on the HotSheet as a new listing to fellow
agents in our office! Wohoo!
I spent today satisfying contingencies and have a signed contract, with
all parties happy for the time being anyhow, with a (cash) close
October 15th. Keep your fingers crossed, ok?
This is GREAT advertising/marketing for both you and for me. My goal
was to get under contract within 30 days, consistently, in this market.
Never did I dream I might go under contract in less than 24 hours! The
only contingency left is a routine home inspection, scheduled to take
place within a week or so.
Staging, coupled with great pricing, is the way to go! As both you and
Michele [Reneau] know, I am a on board with this, even thou I am a
rookie.
I hope this all works out well and I look forward to continued
partnership with you in the future. Let's keep the furniture in place
til closer to close, til the inspection contingency is fulfilled,
just in case........................ "

Better Business Series - Part 1
|
|
In this series we will spotlight simple things you can
do to improve your business. Some may seem surprisingly obvious
and yet, if you really pay attention, you'll notice that very few
actually do!
Get a coach! Did you know that some of the most successful
business people in the world hire business coaches? Even business
coaches often have coaches. Think they are too expensive?
What would you be willing to pay someone who could significantly
improve your income or increase your productivity? There are many
levels of mentoring and coaching including group, online, and one on
one. Find one that works for you.
Be a coach! Help someone new in the business, or someone who is
struggling get ahead. Give them the benefit of your
expertise. You may find that the teacher still has much to learn
from the new eyes and mind. You also may find that it keeps you
honest & ethical (not that you ever had a problem there).
Showing others how to get work done will provide a checks and balance
keeping you working as hard as you should be.

Who Moved My Cheese?
|
|
This simple fable book is an all time best seller.
Why? Perhaps it is because the story is simple and
understandable, perhaps because when we read it, we see ourselves
(and our colleagues) in the characters. Either way, it has an
important lesson to remind us of. Things change whether we want
them to or not.
The
question we are left with is what we do when change happens? Do
we keep things simple, learn and adapt, wait for things to change back,
holding on to the past and missing the future possibilities or do we
actually look for change, getting excited at the possible new
adventures?
The real
estate market has changed dramatically over the past few years - for
some (many) this was the cheese being moved without any notice.
For others, they saw what was coming and were prepared. Some
never knew it would change, but were flexible enough in their plans
that they were able to change instantly and adapt. Still others
sit in this market waiting for the market to improve - waiting for the
cheese to return. What they fail to understand is that the market
continues to evolve and that
cheese will never be here again. It is time to embrace the
changes that lie ahead. Look around and take a lesson from those
who are succeeding and go in search of new, better cheese. Change happens - it is
what you do in the face of it that matters!
